Entry: Dream Vacation Tuesday, September 02, 2008

Watched Richard Gutierrez and KC Concepcion's movie last week with my boyfriend and loved it. They looked good together and acted so natural. My initial impression was that it wasn't a nice movie but I was wrong. HERE's my review of the movie if you want to know more juicy details.

Anyway, seeing the movie that was mostly shot in Greece was a great cinematic experience. It felt like I was traveling with them vicariously. I love Santorini Island, the specific place where they went. The movie made me daydream of a vacation. Yes, a dream vacation, in one of those beautiful islands in Greece.

If only vacations were not expensive, I would have taken a lot. As in A LOT. And have the time of my life. In places where fun is a normal thing. Where everything is beautiful and efficient and orderly. Where I can relax and eat and have fun all day and all night. But vacations aren't just that. It involves a lot of money. Of  which I am lacking. Or let's just put it this way, I have money but it's just enough for myself and my family to live a normal life.

How about you, where is your dream vacation?

The Life of a Breadwinner has a new post.

Hi, Edelweiza. Thanks for commenting on my blog, too. The Greek islands and the beautiful Aegean Sea would indeed be a great place to vacation. But I couldn't go to Greece without visiting Athens and the Acropolis, with its famous Parthenon temple.

And I have to say you certainly have an unusual - and beautiful - name.

Chuck
